Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre:

This unique wildlife rehabilitation centre is a home to many of South Africa’s abandoned, injured and poisoned wildlife, and is extremely proud of its efforts in wildlife education in the country.

They are often faced with the difficult decision of what to do with an injured or poisoned animal which will not be able to be released back into the wild. As a result, they have a number of “permanent residents” at the centre and at their own cost they use them as “ambassadors” for their respective species.

A tour to Moholoholo is an immersive experience and will leave you with everlasting memories.

Must sees:  Mac Mac Falls, Bourke’s Luck Pot Holes, Three Rondawels, God's Window and Graskop for Harrie’s Pancakes.

The Kruger National Park:

Do a guided day tour or drive yourself into the famed 20,000 square km Kruger National Park. It is home to the BIG 5 as well as a multitude of plains game, bird life and various types of fauna and flora unique to the Lowveld. There are various camps and picnic spots within the park to stretch your legs, and a network of roads to ensure you have an authentic wildlife adventure.

Jessica the Hippo:

Take a short drive west of Hoedspruit and down to the banks of the Blyde River. Jessica the Hippo was rescued as a calf during the destructive floods in 2000 and was taken in by a family living on the banks of the river.

What makes this special hippo unique is the fact that she lives life as a wild hippo, but she interacts with humans in a very different way; she is friendly and calm.

This is an excellent photographic opportunity.
